What it is
An implant is a small titanium post placed in the jaw, topped with a custom crown that matches your other teeth. It doesn't rely on the teeth next to it and helps keep your jawbone healthy. Your first visit is a 3D-scan consultation so you know exactly what to expect.
Who it's for
- One or more missing teeth
- A bridge or denture you'd like to replace with something fixed
- Adults with healthy gums and enough jawbone (we check with a 3D scan)
What happens, step by step
- 01
Step 1: 3D consultation
A cone-beam scan, your options side by side, and a full written quote including insurance.
- 02
Step 2: Placement
The implant is placed under local anesthetic, with sedation available. Usually under an hour.
- 03
Step 3: Healing
The implant fuses with the bone over about three months. You'll have a temporary tooth.
- 04
Step 4: Your crown
A custom crown is fitted and fine-tuned to your bite.
Recovery and aftercare
Expect mild swelling for two to three days, managed with over-the-counter pain relief. Soft foods for a few days, and no smoking while it heals.
Cost and insurance
Typically $3,800–$5,200 before insurance. Per tooth, including implant, abutment and crown. Bone grafting quoted separately if needed. Many PPO plans cover part of the crown; we file and maximize benefits. We give you a written estimate after your exam, before any treatment starts. See our full price list.
